Terms, Conditions and Rules of Booking, Payment and Travel
All passengers agree to these terms and conditions as part of their booking.
No food or drinks (whether alcoholic or not, including coffee), are permitted inside the vehicle. The driver will ask you to leave them outside.
No smoking or vaping inside the vehicle.
Seatbelts must be worn at all times whilst the vehicle is in motion.
Fake/Spray Tan. Please be aware that fake tanning products will stain many fabrics. The Sun Buzz seats are light-coloured, for a bright, fresh, airy visual impact. If any of your guests are wearing fake tanning products which may stain the fabric, please request a seat cover from the driver. If this option isn’t taken up and seats are subsequently stained/damaged by fake-tanning products, the cost of restoring them will be passed on to the booker.
The driver will not leave sealed roads, mount kerbs or negotiate narrow driveways/entry points/routes where there is a risk of vehicle damage. The same goes for gravel, wet grassed areas, mud or sand, where there’s any risk of the vehicle getting bogged. Please consider this in advance, when planning
your day/event.
Our drivers will be courteous at all times; please respond in kind. If they are in any way abused, threatened or harassed, they have been instructed to terminate the hire and, if required, report matters to the Police or relevant authorities.
Our drivers are paid an hourly rate per hire, based on the booked hire and travel time. Events do sometimes over-run, but please be mindful that your driver may have to leave at the pre-booked time either to attend another event, or to return the vehicle at ‘end-of shift’. If this does occur, please refer to the ‘no abuse’ policy above.
Sun Buzz provides sick bags. Accidents happen. However, failure to use a sick bag resulting in vomit on the floor, upholstery or any other part of the vehicle will incur clean-ups/valet costs, in order for us to prepare the vehicle for the next clients in a professional and timely manner. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
You acknowledge that it will be entirely at the driver’s discretion whether they are able to accommodate any extension to the pre-booked hire time. If they are willing to wait past the pre-booked time, then any unplanned extension will be charged at the rate of $90 for every half-hour (or part of half-hour). Any such payments are to be paid on-the-spot to the driver, via a mobile EFTPOS facility. To avoid disappointment, please bear this requirement in mind and pre-arrange for a member of your party to have cash available in case it’s required (in the event that there is no internet connection for the EFTPOS machine).
Sun Buzz operates under the ‘exempt businesses’ requirements of the Queensland Liqour Act 1992, Sections12-14B, Limousines and Tour Operators.
Rules/The Small Print
- If pick-up/start point of hire is within a 15km / 20 min radius of Hastings St, no ‘travel time’ is added.
(For example, if starting/pick up/drop-off point is Maleny or Caloundra, there would be a travel charge of approx. 45 mins in each direction) - 50% up-front payment is required to secure your booking.
- 100% payment required if booking is seven days or less away.
- Full balance to be paid at least seven days prior to date of travel.
If you cancel more than 28 days before the date of the booking, you will receive a 100% refund of your deposit.
If full balance is not paid seven days before the booking hire date, the booking will be cancelled. The 50% deposit will be returned minus a ‘lost booking/admin fee’ of $100, which can be used as a credit towards a future booking (to be used within one year).
If you cancel between 28 days and 7 days before the date of the planned event, the 50% deposit will be returned minus a ‘lost booking/admin fee’ of $100, which can be used as a credit towards a future booking (to be used within one year).
If you cancel between six days and two days before the date of the planned booking (NOT the day before the booked date), you will be charged 50% of the total booking fee, and the remaining 50% will be returned.
If you cancel the day before the planned hire date, or on the day itself, you will be charged 100% of the booking fee.
For Example:
Hire Date is 10th January. Full booking fee not yet paid.
If you cancel on 1st January, 50% deposit returned less $100.
If you cancel between 4th and 8th January, 50% of the full booking fee returned.
If you cancel on 9th or 10th January, full booking fee is lost.
(When we take a booking, those dates are blocked, preventing anyone else from booking on that date. Lost booking fees go some way towards covering the potential loss of another booking for that day, for scheduling and re-scheduling of car/driver, possible catering losses, re-advertising costs,
additional admin, accounting and correspondence fees, etc.).
Please note:
Minimum hire period for most services is 3 hours
Pick-up point anywhere within 20 minutes of Hastings St, Noosa is free. For pick-up points outside that area the ‘Hire Time’ will start 20 mins outside Hastings St.
The free pick-up area covers Hastings St, Noosaville, Gympie Terrace, Peregian Beach, Noosa Springs, Noosa Heads, Sunshine and Sunrise Beach, Tewantin, some areas of Doonan.
Public Holiday Loading
Sun Buzz will apply an additional flat rate of 25% for all bookings on Public Holidays. We are not available for services on Christmas Day.
New Year’s Eve (pre-and post-midnight) transportation is by special arrangement only, and will attract a premium of 200%. Please contact us directly for details/availability.
